Overview

The report shows how the company advanced its circular-economy strategy while improving sustainability data quality in FY20. Total Group Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions were 148.6 thousand MT CO2e, measured using location-based Scope 2 factors. Sims Metals generated 1.3 million tonnes of automotive shredder residue and produced 2,100 tonnes of hazardous waste, underscoring the importance of its resource-renewal programme. Workforce reporting also shows female representation on the Group's Board of Directors at 37.5%.
