Overview

The report describes SGX's first GRI-based CSR report for the SGX Group's active Singapore subsidiaries, covering 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2009. It highlights a 569-person workforce, with 505 executive and 64 non-executive staff, alongside employee development and wellbeing programmes. Community initiatives included 79 SGX Academy events reaching 4,500 participants, a 36-graduate Work Attachment Programme, and $2.1 million raised for 19 Bull Charge beneficiaries. Environmental actions included raising indoor temperature to save about 30,000 kg of carbon dioxide annually, recycling used paper, and eliminating bottled water.
