Overview

The report presents Smith & Nephew's 2014 sustainability performance across customers, employees, environment and society. It reports a 19% reduction in Group employee lost-time injury frequency to 0.39 and records zero fatalities. Environmental disclosures include 194 GWh of energy, 9,368 tonnes of total waste and 703,000m3 of water consumption, alongside landfill and paper-use reduction activity. DNV GL provided independent assurance at a moderate level, covering report information on a sample basis.
