Overview

The report presents Smith & Nephew's 2017 sustainability strategy and progress toward its 2020 targets. It reports 10,496 t of total waste, 209 GWh of total energy, 614 1,000m3 of water usage, and 85,558 metric tonnes CO2e of location-based emissions, alongside 67,685 metric tonnes CO2e of market-based Scope 2 emissions. Employee initiatives include diversity, wellbeing, safety and talent development, while DNV GL provided independent assurance over key data and claims linked to the ten long-term goals.
