Overview

The report presents SQM's 2012 sustainability performance across its people, environmental management, community relationships, and economic performance. The company reported 5,525 employees worldwide and continued extensive training and safety programs for employees and contractors. Environmental highlights included close to 91% of energy consumed from renewable sources, comprehensive biodiversity monitoring, and 3,047 tons of total waste generated.
