Overview

The report presents Solvay's 2014 sustainability performance under the GRI Core option and as a UN Global Compact progress report. It reports 25,909 year-end employees and 10,629 EUR million of total revenue, alongside 2014 Scope 1 emissions of 11.4 Mt CO2eq and Scope 2 emissions of 3 MtCO2. The report describes 2020 reduction objectives for greenhouse gases and energy, reports two fatal accidents, and discloses 1,638,790 tons of non-hazardous and 216,073 tons of hazardous industrial waste. Deloitte provided limited assurance over selected sustainability information.
