ESG Annual Report

Overview

The report sets SJI's decarbonization direction through a 70 percent reduction in operational carbon emissions and consumption by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2040. It reports a workforce of 1,173 employees and describes extensive diversity, wellness, training, and community initiatives. ESG oversight is assigned to a board-level ESG Committee supported by management committees. The report also provides consolidated 2021 metrics for Scope 1 and partial Scope 3 emissions, waste, water, safety, and governance.
