Social Value Report

Overview

The report describes Southeastern's 2022-23 social value activity across local employment, responsible procurement, community partnerships, safeguarding, and decarbonisation. It reports that 4,542 employees were covered, with 90% from the local region, and that over £274m of procurement spend went to local suppliers. Operational Scopes 1-2 CO2 emissions were reduced by 35% from the 2018-19 baseline, while 94% of 2,503 tonnes of waste was diverted from landfill.
