Overview

The report presents the Group's Sustainability Statement for FY2018, describing governance through a Sustainability Steering Committee chaired by the Group Managing Director and reporting to the Board. It highlights 14 energy-efficiency projects that delivered approximately 1.465 million kWh of savings, recycling of nearly 1.5 million Mt of scrap metal, and disposal of 23,003 Mt of EAF dust. It also describes closed-loop water treatment and ongoing safety and talent-development initiatives.
