Overview

The report describes Southern Steel Berhad Group's FY 2023 sustainability performance across governance, economic, environmental and social topics. It expanded GHG reporting to 100% of Malaysian sites and reported Group Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. Environmental performance included 992 Megaliters of water used, 107,802 Mt of waste generated and 99.5% waste diversion. Social highlights included 12,647 training hours, 268 community participants and 33.3% women directors.
