Overview

The report presents SSAB's 2014 sustainability performance for the combined SSAB Group and former Rautaruukki, using pro-forma data for the reporting period. It highlights 4,632 GWh of electricity and 4,179 GWh of fuel consumption, alongside 9.6 million tonnes of CO2 emissions. Safety performance improved to a lost-time accident frequency of 6.6, although a fatal accident occurred at Lulea. The report also documents continuing work on resource efficiency, environmental management, responsible sourcing and the UN Global Compact.
