Overview

The report sets out SSE's 2040 net-zero target for Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 2050 target for remaining Scope 3 emissions. For 2023/24, it reports 4.34 MtCO2e of Scope 1, 0.47 MtCO2e of location-based Scope 2 and 4.46 MtCO2e of Scope 3 emissions. Sustainability reporting is organized around an explicit double-materiality assessment and a detailed Sustainability section covering climate, clean energy, infrastructure, decent work and the natural environment.
