Environmental Report

Overview

The report covers SSEN's 2019/20 environmental performance for SHEPD and SEPD, including commitments on carbon, oil leakage, visual amenity and network losses. It records a 49,403-tonne business carbon footprint excluding network losses and slightly over 2.1 GWh of electrical losses. SSEN also reports 15.44 km of overhead lines removed across 11 schemes and continued innovation and smart-meter deployment to support the low-carbon transition.
