Overview

The report describes SMP's 2021 environmental, social and governance initiatives, including established goals to cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 25% by 2030 and achieve net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2050. It reports 2021 Scope 1 emissions of 4,653.3 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent and Scope 2 emissions of 31,784.6 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent. It also reports 315,586.75 GJ of total energy consumed, 0% renewable energy, and ISO 14001:2015-certified environmental management systems at nine principal facilities. Social highlights include the establishment of a DEI Steering Committee and expanded employee and community initiatives.
