Overview

The report describes State Street's 2020 ESG performance across governance, human and social capital, environmental operations, climate risk, and responsible investment. It reports carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in 2020 and sets a 27.5% carbon-reduction goal by 2030 against a 2019 baseline. Workforce and environmental highlights include 39,099 employees worldwide, 7,420 metric tons of Scope 1 emissions, 2,026 tons of waste, and a 74% recycling rate. ERM CVS provided limited assurance over selected emissions, water, waste, and recycling metrics.
