Sustainability Report (Extract)

Overview

The report presents Handelsbanken's 2014 sustainability activities for the Group, covering employees, customers, responsible lending and investments, community impacts, ethics and environmental performance. It reports 11,692 employees across 24 countries and states that 51 per cent of Group employees were women. Environmental highlights include 3,663 tonnes of CO2 emissions from operational electricity consumption and a new Group environmental policy adopted in 2014. The report was prepared in accordance with GRI 3.0, constituted the Bank's UN Global Compact Communication on Progress, and was externally assured.
