Overview

The report describes Handelsbanken's Group-wide sustainability coordination, GRI Core reporting and limited external assurance for 2016. Operational carbon dioxide emissions fell 15 per cent to 11,337 tonnes, supported by increased renewable electricity, while the Bank reported 11,759 employees and 40 per cent women among managers. Handelsbanken also adopted the Equator Principles and continued responsible lending and investment initiatives.
