Overview

The report describes Handelsbanken's Group-wide goal of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 at the latest, covering lending, leasing, investments and its own operations. It also reports the Bank's first interim target: a 36 per cent reduction in emissions linked to real estate financing per square metre by 2030 from a 2021 baseline. In 2022, the Group reported 49 per cent female employees and 43 per cent female managers, and identified six Sustainable Development Goals as areas of greatest impact.
