Overview

The report describes SYNLAB's establishment of a Group ESG Department and a GHG reporting framework as it built its ESG governance and measurement approach. It reports 2021 GHG emissions of 38,690 tonnes CO2e as a new baseline following a more comprehensive methodology. Waste produced rose to 9,240 tonnes, which the report attributes initially to increased protective equipment and laboratory testing materials during the pandemic.
