Overview

The report describes Tanger's 2020 response to the COVID-19 pandemic through employee and shopper safety measures, retailer support and more than 280 community events. The company formed a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, established an ESG Executive Steering Committee and expanded disclosures to CDP and GRESB. Portfolio energy use fell 17.7% and Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions fell 20.8% from 2019, while LED lighting covered more than 85% of the portfolio. Board-level oversight of environmental and sustainability matters was formalized.
