Overview

The report covers Teck's 2019 sustainability performance across 14 material topics. Highlights include 3,226 kilotonnes of Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions, 44,032 TJ of energy consumption, 74% water efficiency at mining operations, and 5,781 hectares reclaimed. Teck set an objective to achieve carbon neutrality across all operations and activities by 2050, alongside a 33% carbon-intensity reduction goal by 2030. The workforce was 10,613 employees, with women representing 20% of the total workforce and 33% of the Board of Directors.
