Overview

The report describes Ericsson's 2008 sustainability performance across climate, responsible business, sourcing, community, human rights and people. The company set a Group-level carbon-footprint reduction target measured per subscriber, with a 40 percent reduction over five years and a 10 percent reduction in the first year. Supplier oversight expanded through 265 audits and more than 300 assessments, while the workforce reached 78,740 employees. The report also documents UN Global Compact engagement and independent verification by Det Norske Veritas.
