Overview

The report combines Telstra's Public Environment Report and Corporate Social Responsibility Report into a single Corporate Responsibility Matters report for 2005/06. It reports a total workforce of 49,443 at 30 June 2006 and 5,891,427 GJ of measured energy consumption. Greenhouse gas emissions were 1,360,358 tonnes CO2 equivalent, while 47% of total waste was recycled. The report also documents disaster-relief responses to Cyclone Larry, Cyclone Monica, NSW and Victoria bushfires, and Katherine floods.
