Corporate Citizenship Report

Overview

The report describes Telstra's 2009/10 corporate citizenship performance across responsible business, social impact, workplace and environmental priorities. It reports a group workforce of 45,220 FTE employees and total measured energy consumption of 6,490,423 GJ, while acknowledging that carbon-emissions intensity rose to 75.7 tonnes CO2 per million dollars of domestic revenue. Telstra had set a target to reduce carbon-emissions intensity by at least 10% from 2008/09 levels by 2015, and the report was externally assured by Banarra under AA1000AS.
