Overview

The report covers Terna Group's 2009 sustainability performance within an Italy-only group boundary following the sale of its Brazilian subsidiary. It reports EUR1,360.7 million of sales revenue, 3,447 employees, 155,144 tons of CO2-equivalent direct and indirect emissions, and 7,053.3 tons of waste generated. Terna highlights 83.0% waste recycling, 91% employee training coverage and no employee fatal occupational injuries, while contractor fatal injuries totaled one. KPMG provided limited assurance over the sustainability report, which also documents Terna's subscription to the UN Global Compact and its ISO-certified integrated management systems.
