Overview

The report describes the Bank's 2022 ESG performance and 2023 commitments, including a 33% reduction in operational greenhouse gas emissions and a 2030 net-zero target for Scope 1 and 2, with Scope 3 targeted for 2050. It reports 4,170 colleague volunteering hours and continued ethical screening of businesses against its customer-led Ethical Policy. Governance is supported by the Board-level Values and Ethics Committee and a Values, Ethics and Sustainability Executive Committee. The Bank also issued its inaugural Green Bond and reported 100% allocation of proceeds to eligible green assets.
