Overview

The report describes improved workplace safety, with lost-time injuries down 38% between 2010 and 2011. It says Toromont’s greenhouse gas emissions remained virtually flat despite increased business activity. The report also highlights ECO CHILL, which it says offsets about 76,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas and saves 332 million kilowatt hours of electricity. Separately, Toromont CAT established a near-term objective to reduce its carbon footprint 10% by 2013.
