The report highlights TransAlta's completion of its Canadian coal-to-gas transition, continued renewable growth and a 2021 Scope 1 and 2 emissions total of 12.5 million tonnes. It also reports a 75 per cent Scope 1 and 2 reduction target by 2026 and carbon neutrality by 2050. Social performance included 1,282 active employees, 42 per cent women on the Board and a third-party assurance engagement over selected sustainability indicators.
