Overview

The report describes Tullow's 2013 approach to creating shared prosperity across governance, socio-economic impact and responsible operations. Highlights include a $1.6 billion socio-economic contribution, $870 million paid to governments, $217 million spent with local suppliers and 85% of African staff being nationals. The company reported 776,629 tonnes CO2e of Scope 1 emissions and disclosed Scope 2 emissions for the first time. Deloitte provided limited assurance over selected environmental, safety, social, social investment and corporate transparency indicators.
