Overview

The report covers CARES' 2024 sustainability performance and describes its SCS and EPD schemes, traceability platform, and impacts across approved steel producers. CARES reports 1155 tonnes CO2e of own GHG emissions, with 85% from flights, and a team of 46 employees and 5 subcontractors. Since December 2024 it has sourced 100% renewable electricity and committed to cut direct emissions 50% by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050. The SCS performance table reports 730 kg CO2e per tonne for scrap-based EAF steel and 1.04 m3 per tonne water use in 2024.
