Overview

The report presents UMC's 2011 sustainability activities across Taiwan and Singapore, including a CSR governance structure led by a CSR Committee. It reports a 32% reduction in normalized PFC emissions versus 2009, 1.8% lower electricity use, 3.5% lower water use, and waste recycling and reuse above 80%. Social highlights include the healthy-workplace program and 756,029 training hours.
