Overview

The report describes UMC's 2022 progress toward a science-based 2050 net-zero pathway, including SBTi validation and a 25% Scope 1 and 2 reduction target by 2030. Group disclosures report 865,984 tonnes CO2e of Scope 1 and 1,757,833 tonnes CO2e of Scope 2 emissions, alongside a reported Scope 3 total of 2,064,284 tCO2e. Renewable energy reached the group's phased 5% goal, while UMC Group employment reached 20,527 at year-end.
