Overview

The report highlights the University of Aberdeen's activity across all 17 SDGs and records a 49.3% reduction in its carbon footprint from 2015/16 to 2023/24. It presents the first comprehensive Net Zero Strategy, including absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 reductions of 100% and a Scope 3 reduction of 55% before 2040. The year also brought Top 100 placements in the 2025 THE Impact and QS Sustainability rankings, alongside research and partnership initiatives spanning climate, health, equality, and innovation.
