Overview

The report shows that the University reduced 2021/22 carbon emissions by 27,080 Tonnes CO2e, a 28% reduction from baseline, while missing its 35% milestone. It sets a net-zero carbon goal for 2040 or sooner and a 70% interim reduction target for 2024/25. Waste arisings rose to 555 tonnes, although 100% was diverted from landfill. The University also established a Sustainability Strategic Steering Group and six task groups to deliver its CCSR Plan.
