Overview

The report presents Van Oord's 2019 financial and operational performance alongside a sustainability framework built around environmental and social impact, energy efficiency, sustainable supply chain and attractive employership. The company launched its Sustainable Earth Actions programme and linked its activities to seven UN Sustainable Development Goals. Its reported carbon footprint increased by 10% year on year, while fleet energy efficiency improved cumulatively by 8.2% against 2010. Selected non-financial indicators, including the carbon footprint, workforce measures and TRIR, received limited assurance from Ernst & Young Accountants LLP.
