Overview

The report describes Provident Financial's 2008 corporate responsibility programme as integrated into business strategy, with the board accountable for material CR issues. It reports 3,400 employees, 15,302 training days, a 50% female workforce and no workplace fatalities. Environmental disclosures include 6,677 MWh of energy consumption, 1,217 tonnes of waste and the offsetting of 2,720 tonnes of business-related carbon dioxide.
