Overview

The report presents VARTA's 2022 sustainability strategy, including a double materiality assessment and reporting aligned with GRI and ESRS/CSRD. It reports 85 569 MWh of total energy consumption, 71.0% renewable energy, 5 154 t of waste, and company-wide Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 GHG emissions. The GHG declaration was externally verified with reasonable assurance, alongside disclosures on 4 576 employees and workforce representation.
