Overview

The report presents Veracel's 2021 sustainability activities during its 30th anniversary, emphasizing an inclusive business model, people and regional development. It reports 963 own collaborators, 2,054 partner-company collaborators, 98% waste recycling and water use of 22,4 m3 per tonne of cellulose. The Sustainable Supply Program reached 37% local purchases and hiring compared with 2020, representing R\$745 million. Community initiatives included support for 1,800 family-agriculture families and emergency assistance with 8,000 food baskets and 2,000 mattresses.
