Environmental Sustainability Annual Report

Overview

The report presents Metro's FY2023 environmental sustainability performance under Goal 4 of the Strategic Transformation Plan. It reports more than 78,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent avoided, an 18% improvement in greenhouse gas emissions per revenue mile to 2.4 kilograms, and 35 percent renewable electricity. It also documents 11 FY2023 green-certified facilities, an increase to 12 in FY2024 Q1, and targets including 100% renewable electricity by 2033 and a 100% zero-emission bus fleet by 2042.
