Overview

The report presents Wessex Water's 2016-17 sustainability performance across customer service, water and environmental stewardship, climate, resource efficiency, workforce and governance. It reports net operational GHG emissions of 123 kilotonnes CO2e, renewable electricity generation of 29%, and 98% non-sludge waste diverted from landfill. Workforce disclosures include 2,290 employees and three women among 14 board directors. The report also includes sustainability accounting and reports £277m of investment towards sustainability.
