Sustainability Report

Overview

The report describes West Fraser's 2011 sustainability activities across forest management, manufacturing and community support. It reports approximately 50 million trees planted in 2011 and management of approximately 6.8 million hectares of Crown forest land. Canadian facilities reduced annual GHG emissions by more than 162,000 tonnes, or 29%, since 2000, while the company reported approximately 6,850 employees at December 31, 2011. It also highlights participation in the CDP Canada 200 Initiative and certifications including SFI and ISO 14001.
