Overview

The report presents Westpac's sustainability performance across employees, customers, environment, social issues, suppliers, regional operations and governance. It reports 22,083 Australian employees, 109,300 tonnes of total greenhouse gas emissions in the emissions table, and 2006 community contributions of $47 million. Environmental highlights include an ISO 14001-based management system, emissions reduction, green products and application of the Equator Principles. Banarra's assurance covered all report sections subject to stated exclusions.
