Overview

The report describes Westpac's 2011 sustainability approach through materiality assessment, GRI G3 A+ reporting and governance overseen by the Board Sustainability Committee. It reports 184,124 tonnes CO2-e of combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions for Australia and New Zealand and 57,163 tonnes CO2-e of Scope 3 emissions. Group headcount was 33,898 FTE at financial year end, with women representing 37.5% of leadership roles. The Group also set a target to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 30% from 2008 levels by 2013.
