Sustainability Performance Report

Overview

The report describes Westpac's 2020 sustainability performance across a 40,225-person workforce, community investment and $10.1bn of lending to climate change solutions. It sets operational emissions targets, including an 85% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2025 from a 2016 base year, and commits the business to transition toward net zero emissions by 2050. The report also details its materiality assessment, climate and human-rights oversight, and response to COVID-19, bushfires and financial-crime concerns.
