Overview

The report describes WH Group's 2018 sustainability work across food quality, environmental management, employees, animal care and communities. It reports 2,632,607 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions covering Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, 293,608 metric tons of recycled non-hazardous waste, and approximately 110,000 employees. Community contributions included $29 million in donations and funds, while Smithfield maintained a 25% absolute supply-chain greenhouse-gas reduction commitment for 2025.
