Overview

The report describes WHSmith's sustainability strategy around Planet, People and Communities, with a board-level ESG Committee overseeing delivery. It reports 2023 Scope 1 emissions of 1,765 tonnes CO2e, market-based Scope 2 emissions of 9,337 tonnes CO2e and Scope 3 emissions of 404,420 tonnes CO2e, while targeting net zero across its value chain by 2050. It also reports 14,000 colleagues, 63% women at Board level, 3,105 tonnes of waste and no fatalities. SLR Consulting provided limited assurance over selected information.
