Overview

The report describes Countdown's 2018 corporate-responsibility progress across its people, planet and prosperity priorities. It reports 18,400 team members and a reduction in the gender pay gap to 1.11 per cent. Environmental highlights include phasing out single-use plastic bags, removing more than 70 tonnes of produce plastic and working toward fully reusable, recyclable or compostable own-brand packaging by 2025. Community efforts included more than $6.3 million of food-rescue donations and $1.48 million in community donations.
