Overview

The report presents Yakult's six material themes across environmental and social topics, including climate change, plastic containers and packaging, water, innovation, communities and supply chain management. It reports fiscal 2022 group GHG totals of 426,431 t-CO2 for Scope 1, 416,697 t-CO2 for Scope 2 and 843,128 t-CO2 for Scope 3, and sets a Net Zero Carbon goal for 2050 covering Scopes 1, 2 and 3. It also describes a Deforestation and Conversion Free Commitment to Responsible Sourcing with traceability targets for high-risk commodities, alongside TCFD-based climate scenario analysis.
