Sustainability Report

The report presents Absa Group's 2023 sustainability performance across financial inclusion, diversity and inclusion, climate, governance and community impact. It highlights a net-zero-by-2050 commitment covering operational and financed Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, plus a 51% reduction target for own emissions by 2030 from 2018. It reports 37 107 employees, 38% female Board members, and 38.8% women in senior leadership. Deloitte provided limited assurance on selected KPIs, including women in senior leadership, sustainability bond issuances and green deposits.
