Sustainable Development Report

Overview

The report presents ACC's 2009 sustainability performance across its cement business, including 11.88 Million Tonnes of gross CO2 emissions from cement production and seven reported fatalities. It also describes extensive resource-efficiency initiatives, including alternative fuels, blended cement, wind power and water reuse. Ernst & Young provided independent limited assurance over the report's sustainability claims and performance data.
